Charles Catteau Art Deco Earthenware Deer Motif 16.5" Tall Vase. Charles Catteau (26 January 1880, Douai – 20 October 1966, Nice) was a French Art Deco industrial designer. This vase was designed in the 1920's to 30's era, it is a earthenware pottery tall vase with deer, blue & turquoise enameled on a cracked background. Signed and seal on bottom C. Catteau D. 943, etched #162 with the Boch La Louviere seal. There are no cracks or repairs to the piece, there is one small chip in the glaze at bottom rim of the vase. The vase measures H 16.5" x W 9" and weighs 5 lbs. 5 oz. Please refer to all photos. Overall in excellent condition.
