Description
YI SANG-BOM CH'ONGJON (Korean, 1897-1972). Autumn Colors On Puktam River in the Diamond Mountains, signed and sealed lower right, ink and watercolor on paper, framed - sight size: 12 1/2 in. x 50 in.
PROVENANCE:Acquired by the present owner in Korea in 1960.

Best known as a landscape painter, Yi Sang-Bom was born in Gongju, he graduated from Seo Wha Art Institute in 1918 and received the "Sun" Exhibition Prize. In 1954, he became a member of the Ye Sul Won Art Society. In 1962 he won the March 1st Cultural Award and the Seoul City Cultural Prize in 1966.
