BIOGRAPHY:
Rudolph Joseph Eicher came to the United States from Switzerland in 1922. He was born September 17, 1884. He was a man of medium height and medium build with blue eyes and black hair. He and his wife died suddenly Sunday, April 27, 1958, in an automobile collision in Springfield, Ohio. He was 73. R. Eicher was a portrait and landscape artist. He had just finished retouching paintings in Dover General Hospital before he and his wife left on an extended vacation in the South. Many of Eicher's landscape paintings came from landmarks from the Shongum Lake area where he lived.
