Provenance: Artifacts were acquired from a private estate in South Florida. The estate owner being infatuated with Picasso and his influences, sought out original Papua New Guinea artifacts. In the early 1990s, the estate owner traveled to Papua New Guinea and collected artifacts from its people and through purchase from the PNG National Museum & Art Gallery. With the collection are a series of letters, receipts, export documents, and other information about the artifacts provided by the P.N.G Museum. Export documents show that the artifacts left from Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea. Accompanied with each artifact will be a copy of the original Export Permit and Receipt from Air New Guinea.
