Description

Robust 17th-18th century German crossbow featuring a powerful steel prod bound by braided cord under dark patina. This coiled serpent of harwood and steel with a massive wooden tiller exhibiting a shaped cheek piece reinforced by decorative iron plates riveted along sides and top, cranequin lugs protrude for winding mechanism attachment, remaining solid and intact. The steel nut and long curved trigger complete this formidable piece. Full Length 38 Width 28
