Late 19th Century French Louis XIV Gilt Bronze Mantel Clock - Le Roy et Fils

Description

Late 19th Century French Louis XIV Gilt Bronze Mantel Clock. Most likely by markings inside the clock LF could refer to famous clock maker le Roy et Fils , Paris. The Mercury gilded bronze clock is surmounted by the God Chronos on the top above the circular dial with enameled Roman Numerals surrounded by embossed cherub figures. There are Lions Heads on each side of the clock with Lion Claw feet. There are intricate details throughout the clocks body. The pendulum is moving and clock does have one key. The engraved markings on the back of the clock are L.F. 35066. There does not seem to be any damage to the clock, the key winds and the clock is ticking. It measures H 30" x W 18" x D 8" and weighs 54 lbs. Please refer to all photos. Overall in very good condition.
