Impressive vintage military aerial reconnaissance camera, model KE-28A, manufactured by Chicago Aerial Industries, Inc. Features a high-resolution 6 inch. F/2.8 lens, focal plane shutter, and uses 70mm film. Chicago Aerial Industries had nearly a 100-year history and later became known as Recon Optical, a company recognized for developing airborne cameras used in major U.S. military operations including photographic intelligence efforts during the Cuban Missile Crisis, Vietnam War, and Operation Desert Storm. Includes three original filters and the original military-marked carrying case with fitted interior.
