BIOGRAPHY:
Harold Drake Tannar was born in 1904 in Akron Ohio. His family moved to East Orange, New Jersey in 1919.He was a member of the Salmagundi Club and the Allied Artists of America. He had many one-man shows in the Essex County area of N.J.He was an Impressionist/Realist painter who did many nautical scenes as well as landscapes and cityscapes. Among others he was represented by the Daniel Lewitt Gallery in New York. One of his works is in the Smithsonian. He died in West Orange New Jersey in 1968.
