Large German Carved 8 Day Musical Cuckoo Clock with Boy & Horses. This is a Black Forest, Germany hand carved by master with locally sourced wood from the region. Features a charming scene with a boy at a water pump, a cat, 2 owls and 2 beautiful horses. It has a tall chalet roof with trees and branches. The wooden clock face has wooden hands and Roman numerals. Above the clock face, on a balcony at the front of the clock, a carousel of small hand-painted village dancers rotate and twirl when the melody plays - either "Edelweiss" and "The Happy Wanderer". Moving cuckoo bird which moves out from behind its door and chimes with its cuckoo' sound on the hour. It sings a succession of cuckoo's equal to the hour of the day. Comes with solid wooden 'pine cone shaped' weights. The clock itself measures H 35' tall x W 24' x D 14" and weighs 24 lbs. Weights measure in 9" x 8 x 6" box and weigh 12 lbs. There is a undershelf that is included with the clock with carved leaves and trees. It measures H 16" x W 34" x D 6" and weighs 10.5 lbs. Combined weight of all items including clock is 46.5 lbs.
