Description
"Isola Tiberina fra i Ponti Fabricio e Graziano." This etching presents a detailed architectural view of Tiber Island in Rome, situated between the Fabricio and Graziano bridges. The composition captures the historical buildings on the island, including the San Bartolomeo all'Isola church with its prominent bell tower, rendered through fine cross-hatching and stippling to create a sense of depth and atmospheric light. The surrounding waters of the Tiber river feature several small rowing vessels and a water wheel in the lower right foreground, while the distant cityscape includes the silhouette of Saint Peter's Basilica. A bilingual title is featured along the base of the image, providing the description in both Italian and French as "Isle du Tibre entre les Ponts Fabricius et Gratien."
