West Papua Province, Irian Jaya. Carved wood ancestral group in form of a male figure standing upon the shoulders of a female, who holds a bird head with open beak. Both of the figures are carved with curvilinear incised design along limbs. Trace of white lime pigment. Reglued break in female's foot. Dry medium brown patina. Copy of invoice available.
