BIOGRAPHY:
Turoff, Paul (Ranis 1873 - 1942 Oberkassel, German portraitist; from 1893 studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Munich under Wilhelm v. Lindenschmit the Younger and Franz Defregger; participated in 1905 international portrait exhibition in Bremen a. Northwest German art exhibition in Oldenburg; 1906 major Berlin art exhibition; 1909 exhibition with Emil Nolde at Jena Kunstverein; from 1914 moved to Oberkassel. Oldenburg; 1906 major Berlin art exhibition; 1909 exhibition with Emil Nolde and others at Jenaer Kunstverein; moved to Oberkassel in 1914.
