BIOGRAPHY:
Emmanuel Pierrette is a Haitian painter born in Cap-Haitien on December 21, 1960. Pierrette began painting in primary school in 1976 to earn a living. He drew inspiration from the Cap-Haitien artists around him, such as the Obin family, Max Gerbier, Rony Leonidas, Pierre-Louis Riche, and Jean-Baptiste Jean. In 1988, he enrolled at ENARTS, an art school in Haiti, for a year to hone his artistic skills. He developed his unique style from his Cap-Haitien training while retaining the foundational elements of his earlier work. He has exhibited in France, Switzerland, Asia, and the USA, and participated in the " Meeting of Two Worlds" exhibition in France.
