Three over one projecting dovetailed drawers, three lower graduated and dovetailed long drawers flanked by pineapple and foliate carved half columns, four long drawers with bookmatched drawer fronts and projecting long drawer also with banded edge, rising on boldly carved acanthus feet, paneled sides, projecting long drawer with handwritten note on interior "This chest of drawers was made in the prison by the prisoners in Albany New York. Purchased by David Goodman in 1832 from a family who came from N.Y. to Ross Co. Ohio. Now owned by Mary E. Goodman Umsted. Daughter of David G.-- Kingston, Ross Co. Ohio.
