Late 18th - early 19th Century British Officers Spadroon Sword ~ Extremely Rare Blade.
Elegant British officers dress spadroon/smallsword with a stirrup-hilt guard, wire-wrapped grip, and urn-form pommel.
The straight, narrow blade is acid-etched with decorative panels including a prominent sunburst cartouche bearing the mottos "GOD SAVE THE KING" and PRO PATRIA with additional foliate and trophy-of-arms motifs and distinctive long patterned bands enhancing the visual impact.
Condition: age wear consistent with service/dress use; surface patina and spotting present; etching remains visible and attractive.
Total length (inside scabbard if present) : 39 1/8", Blade length : 32 1/4". ~ .
