Manufactured 1943 by Remington Rand for WWII issue. Grey-green parkerized finish. Checkered brown Keyes pattern plastic grips. "HS" (High Standard) marked barrel with checkered safety and grooved slide stop. Short checkered stamped steel trigger. Narrow fine checkered blue finished hammer with grooved arched mainspring housing. Inspected by Frank J. Atwood with "FJA" inspection on left side of frame and "P" inspection to right of magazine release. Small "Remington Rand Syracuse N.Y. USA" slide marking with "P" inspection on top of slide forward of rear sight. "L" marked all blue finish WWII magazine. Pistol remains in proper configuration with correct parts. CONDITION: Very fine with over 97% finish remaining with bright bore and mechanically excellent. A very fine WWII example.
