BIOGRAPHY:
Pavel Lacoza was born in 1975 in Kyiv, Ukraine. His artistic journey began in childhood, where he would draw, paint, and sculpt with any materials he could find. Most of his childhood games involved creating art, and his talent was soon recognized with multiple awards in school competitions and exhibitions. A pivotal moment in Pavel's early years came during a plein-air event, where he had a life-changing encounter with an artist. This meeting inspired him to pursue a career as a professional painter. In 2002, Pavel held his first exhibition in Kyiv, marking a significant milestone in his career. The following year, he continued to build his reputation by participating in numerous exhibitions and competitions. Since 2019, he has served as the director of the local art center and museum. He works with various techniques, including oil painting, mixed media, and graphics. His works convey a strong sense of color and shape, while also showcasing an innovative approach. Pavel's art is deeply influenced by the nature of his homeland and the people around him, resulting in an intricate portrayal of the world through his unique perspective.
