James Gibson Florida Highwayman Large Night Palms Painting on Upson Board. James Gibson (1938 - 2017) is an American landscape artist from Moore Haven, Florida and one of the original 26 Florida Highwaymen. This is a beautiful large sofa painting with the palm trees glowing in the light of the moon. Signed on the bottom right by the artist "J Gibson". There is some damage at the very top of the painting (see photos). The board is a rigid compressed board, an inexpensive material used for Highwaymen paintings. Measures H 27.5" x W 51.5 " and weighs approximately 7 lbs. Please refer to all photos. Overall in good condition.
