Known to hang in public spaces like arenas, city halls and government buildings, this exceptional pair of three-quarter length Royal portraits from 1953–1954 features larger-than-standard formats, including Dorothy Wilding’s iconic image of Queen Elizabeth II used for her first postage stamps. Wilding, the first female royal photographer, is joined here by the photographer Baron, a close personal friend of Prince Philip who captured the couple's wedding and early family milestones. Each photograph is personally signed and dated by the respective Royal subject and presented in a matching silver frame with purple felt matting, under glass. Together, these pieces serve as a prestigious record of the early reign, uniting the work of a pioneering female artist and a trusted inner-circle photographer. The pair are accompanied by JSA LOAs for their signatures.
