Description
Circa 1870-1880, brass head classic western style tomahawk with hand filed scalloped leading edge embellishments. File branded wood haft most likely ash or Osage orange that has been drilled for smoking. Overall head measures 11" with a 7" blade and a 4" cutting edge. With haft measures 22" x 1-3/4" at its widest. CONDITION: Good. Exhibits heavy age and period wear and patina. Dimensions: 11" x 24".
