Theodore “Dutch” Van Kirk autographed 10 x 8" glossy black and white U.S. Air Force photograph depicting the full crew of the Enola Gay, the B-29 bomber that dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan, on August 6, 1945. Van Kirk, who served as navigator, has boldly signed in black ink. The verso bears a detailed typed caption identifying all pictured crew members, including pilot Paul W. Tibbets, bombardier Thomas Ferebee, and radar specialist Jacob Beser.

Theodore “Dutch” Van Kirk (1921–2014) served as navigator aboard the Enola Gay during the Hiroshima mission—the first atomic bombing in history. A highly skilled aviator, Van Kirk had previously flown numerous combat missions over Europe with Tibbets and Ferebee before their selection for the top-secret 509th Composite Group.
