STS-78 partial crew autographed commemorative cover signed by six members of the Space Shuttle Columbia mission crew: Terence T. Henricks, Kevin R. Kregel, Susan J. Helms, Charles E. Brady Jr., Robert B. Thirsk, and Richard M. Linnehan. The cover is missing the signature of payload specialist Jean-Jacques Favier. Susan Helms has inscribed the cover to space & aviation author, historical and notable collector Sam Kloda.

STS-78 launched aboard Space Shuttle Columbia on June 20, 1996, and was one of the longest Space Shuttle missions flown at the time, lasting over sixteen days. Commanded by Terence Henricks with Kevin Kregel serving as pilot, the mission carried the Life and Microgravity Spacelab payload, which conducted extensive biomedical, human physiology, and materials science experiments in preparation for future long-duration spaceflight. Mission specialists Susan Helms, Charles Brady Jr., Richard Linnehan, and payload specialists Robert Thirsk of Canada and Jean-Jacques Favier of France supported a wide range of international scientific investigations throughout the mission.
