Title: Rare Left Looking Large Mary McAboy Skookum 19 Inches Tall Circa 1920's

Description: This rare excellent specimen checks all the boxes and more.
At 19" tall, he falls in the range of what are called "large" skookums. Not many of these large skookums have survived in particular, the left looking ones, that made up only a small fraction of the skookum population. His composition head is adorned with a fine beaded head-piece that drapes across the shoulders down to the waist. The long black mohair is braided. He is wrapped in a colorful high-quality Indian-style blanket. The beading is carried through to the fine suede moccasins that adorn his wooden feet. He even sports what I think is a corn stalk tie.
He is in very good condition overall. His felt pants have torn some at the ankle. His cotton calico shirt has a small hole and there is minor wear on his blanket.
