Description

Japanese carved wooden panel of a mother and child, a Japanese cult on the "Down Low" the sign of Catholicism and secrets. Understood as a passing reference to the Madonna and Child Imagery of the church. This is a late 19th or early 20th-century wall-hung model with original paints. The size is 12.75" by 4.75". Carved from boxwood and has a metal mounting ring to hang from in the back. The depth is 2". INV.-AAB
