Bartlett's Exploring Aspirator in nickel plated steel, with accessories, label is Royal Award, marked "To the University College Hospital, & The Hospital for Disease of the Throat." In fitted mahogany case with working lock and key.
The firm was founded by Joseph Mayer, with appearances in records from 1864 at 51 Great Portland Street, London, later becoming Mayer & Meltzer around 1869, closed in 1928.
