This DWM Model 1906 American Eagle is a toggle-lock semi-automatic pistol chambered in 7.65mm Luger, also known as .30 Luger, and was produced for the United States commercial export market. The firearm features a 4.75-inch barrel and an attractive high-polish blued finish on the major components, accented by original straw-colored small parts including the trigger, takedown lever, magazine release, safety, and ejector. The pistol is fitted with finely checkered walnut grips and includes a grip safety on the backstrap. Prominent markings include the Great Seal of the United States eagle crest on the receiver chamber and the stylized DWM monogram on the center toggle link. The front of the frame is stamped with the serial number 44258 and the commercial export mark GERMANY. The underside of the barrel is verbatim marked with 118.35, the matching serial number 44258, a circled B, and German commercial proof marks of a crown over B and a crown over U. Partial serial number 58 is found on various small components, indicating a matching-number example. The lot is accompanied by a single nickel-finished magazine with a wooden base plug and a brown leather holster. The holster is marked on the reverse with the manufacturer code cgn, the date 4, and a WaA eagle Waffenamt inspection stamp. Note - All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.

The pistol is in excellent condition, with the original blued finish retaining approximately 95% or more coverage, showing only minor thinning at the muzzle and slight holster wear on the high edges of the frame and trigger guard. The straw-colored accents remain exceptionally vibrant and well-preserved. The checkered walnut grips are sharp with very little compression and no cracks. The action appears to function smoothly, and the grip safety is operational; however, we have not function-tested this firearm. The bore is not internally inspected but the overall exterior condition is consistent with a well-maintained piece. The included holster shows minor age-related scuffing but the leather remains supple and the markings are clearly legible.
