Description
A very fine Acoma Pueblo, Late 19th century polychrome pottery Olla. Hand painted by Acoma Pueblo artisans in New Mexico. Geometric patterns in dark brown and orange design on a white ground, with large areas fired gray. Traditionally used for water storage. Shrinkage crack extends from rim to shoulder; wear and rubbing consistent with use.
