This finely painted Chinese porcelain snuff bottle, dating to the Republic Period (circa 1912–1949), features a classic motif of ripe peaches in overglaze famille rose enamels, a traditional symbol of longevity and immortality in Chinese culture. Measuring approximately 6–7 cm in height, 4.4 cm in width and weighing 43.8 grams, the bottle is of flattened ovoid form, decorated on both sides with two large pink peaches growing from leafy green branches, all set against a white glazed ground. The naturalistic rendering of the fruit, along with the elegant calligraphic brushwork of the enamels, indicates high-quality kiln production—likely from the Jingdezhen porcelain center, which flourished during the Republican era with a focus on literati-inspired motifs and auspicious symbolism.The bottle is finished with a pale green domed stopper and retains its original cork and spoon, all well preserved. The base bears a red hand-painted three-character mark, commonly found on Republic export and artisan studio wares. The simplicity and balance of the design reflect both traditional aesthetic values and the commercial appeal of auspicious themes during a period of artistic revival.
