CARVED WOODEN WATCH HUTCH
19th Century
Formed as a tall-case clock with a fanciful bonnet, carved pinwheel, mirrored base panel and a chip-carved vine border. Dark brown crazed finish. Slides open for access to watch. Contains a hallmarked English silver pocket watch. Pencil inscription on interior lists Capt. Jos. Northam and members of the Mason and Blanchard families, presumably the chain of ownership.
Height 12.75". Maximum width 4.75".

A couple of very old repairs to the wood, including the front just to the right of the small mirror and the back right side. Small wood chip at front right foot. Upper glass is likely replaced.
