TALL-CASE CLOCK BY JAMES COLE
Rochester, New Hampshire, Circa 1800
Case topped with three brass ball and steeple finials on plinths joined by pierced scrolling fretwork. Bonnet with carved quarter-fans at the upper corners and an arched dial door flanked by brass-capped fluted columns. Pendulum door flanked by brass-caped fluted quarter-columns. Painted Roman numeral dial with profuse floral decoration.
Height 92". Width 18". Depth 9.75".

No weights or pendulum or key. Case with some separations at the corners, lower panel with a vertical eight split. Door hinges, possibly replaced. Small damage to inlay just above left side quarter column. Obvious wear and some paint chipping to the dial. The absence of a condition report does not imply an object is free of defects.
