ANTIQUE WATERCOLOR PAINTING - SIGNED EDB 1898 - SAILING SHIPS IN HARBOR - FRAMED This antique watercolor painting shows a glimpse into a busy harbor in the late 1800s. Sailing ships of different sizes are anchored off shore. The viewer is drawn to imagine himself in the small rowboat in the foreground rowing out to join one of the ships. The painting is on paper and is signed in the lower left with the artist's initials, EDB and dated 1898. The painting has been matted with a gold colored mat, framed and covered with glass. The underside of the glass could use a cleaning. The frame is in fair condition with some nicks and scratches and and a nail hole at each side connected to the hanging wire at back.
