Description
This is a US Morgan silver dollar struck at the New Orleans Mint in 1883. The coin features the Liberty Head obverse and the Eagle with wreath reverse. It is composed of 90 percent silver and 10 percent copper. The O mint mark is clearly visible on the reverse, centered below the laurel wreath and above the denomination. The coin features a reeded edge.
Weight: 0.858 troy ounces (approximately 26.68 grams). The coin is in circulated condition, exhibiting moderate wear on the high points of the design, specifically the hair lines above Liberty's ear and the feathers on the eagle's breast. Numerous contact marks, bag marks, and light surface scratches are present in the fields on both the obverse and reverse. The coin shows natural toning and no evidence of cleaning or significant rim damage. The grade is approximately Very Fine.
