A CHINESE GILT BRONZE BUDDHA STATUE
This finely cast copper figure is fully gilded, depicting a crowned Bodhisattva seated in full lotus meditation pose atop a double-tiered lotus pedestal covered in neatly embossed flower scrolls. The deity's hands are joined in an intricate ritual mudra at the chest, adorned with elaborate jewel inlaid necklaces, armbands and earrings set with coloured stone cabochons. The face bears serene downcast eyes and gentle lips, framed by an ornate multi-pointed royal crown. Measuring 25cm long, 18.5cm wide, 33cm tall with a weight of 4530 grams, it exemplifies refined Tibetan Buddhist bronze gilding and sculptural craftsmanship.
