A mid-century piano accordion manufactured by the Italo American Accordion Mfg. Co. of Chicago, Illinois, and produced in Italy. This Tina Model instrument features a cream-colored pearloid celluloid finish over a wooden frame. The configuration includes 41 treble keys and a 120-button bass system. A single black master palm switch is positioned at the center of the treble grille. The grille is ornamented with vertical and horizontal metal bars set against a brown mesh background. The unit is personalized with the name A Y L E (Gayle) in metal lettering on the front left face, with the first character missing. The rear body is stamped MADE IN ITALY. The instrument is equipped with multi-fold bellows featuring metal corner protectors. Included are the original leather shoulder and bass straps, as well as the original hardshell carrying case with a brown faux-crocodile exterior and a red plush-lined interior. A handwritten tag accompanying the instrument dates it to the period of 1955-1959. Case is 17x20
