"First Light" is an oil on mounted linen landscape painting by Michael Magrin, completed in 2025.

Heavy gray violet clouds fill the upper two thirds, painted in flat overlapping bands with paler slate and blue gray streaks running through them. Below the cloud mass a wide band of coral and salmon light stretches across the sky, breaking into horizontal strokes of pink and rose, with a small patch of pale yellow at the horizon near the center and a strip of clear blue at the right edge. The land is a single dark band of brown and olive across the bottom, unbroken except for a low rise at the left. Cool violet gray sits against warm coral.

The painting measures 8 inches high by 10 inches wide. It is framed and ready to hang, and measures 14 by 16 inches framed. The frame is shown in the photographs. Signed by the artist, lower left.
