Lot 990420
This is a reproduction of the Colt Paterson Revolver, originally patented in 1836. The cylinder has etched images of stagecoach battles. The barrel is octagonal, and has imprinted numbers and hallmarks on the underside. The grip is wood. Its overall length is 12". It is in excellent condition, and the mechanism works fine. The Paterson was the first commercial repeating firearm to use a revolving cylinder with multiple chambers and a single barrel. This is great reproduction of the original model.
