A sequinned black tulle tabard dress, early 1920s, the gun-metal blue sequins arranged in floral repeats, beaded tassels to the tulle sleeves and jet medallions to the hips, integral petticoat, bust 117cm, 46in; together with a black silk crepe evening dress with beaded edges, open-work shoulders c.1922, bust approx 107cm, 42in (2) Provenance: Henning Thorsen collection

Condition

Sequined dress is in good condition, a few small holes to the tulle, both tulle sleeves have a repaired tear. There are a number of holes to tulle left side panel, some slight discolouration inside neckline. Perspiration stains at underarms and a hole under right arm. Black crepe dress is good condition. A few minor snags to crepe, stitching at hem has wear in places with fraying. A few minor surface marks overall. Slightly shiny area to bodice front. A few minor losses to beading.
