An undated archaistic openwork incense burner of a standing bird with feather detailing to the neck, body legs and head; the chest and wings in openwork, foliage and silver-inlaid animal motifs; bands of silver-inlaid calligraphic text to the neck, chest and wings; piriform hinged lid to the top of the head. 1.4 kg, 34.5 cm (13 1/2"). Property of a London gentleman; acquired 1990-2000.
