Reggie Kray handwritten four page letter to Brad Lane with original mailing envelope. Content regarding taking Judo lessons in Prison. Reggie Kray developed an unexpectedly tender relationship with a boy he came to call his 'adopted son'. The friendship developed after Brad Lane began writing to the notorious gangster at Gartree Prison in Leicestershire. The youngster had developed a fascination with Kray after his own father deserted the family home. The pair were soon corresponding on a daily basis and Brad became Kray's most frequent visitor. When the gangster was transferred to Lewes prison, in East Sussex, he travelled the 600 miles from his home in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, to see him. In 1991, Brad - then 12 even changed his name to Kray by deed poll. In return, the then 57-year-old Kray signed a legal document declaring Brad to be his adopted son. Good condition
