Description
A Regency Boulle work and ebonised casket, circa 1815, of rectangular form, the hinged cover, front, back and sides all with foliate cut marquetry brass, steel and tortoiseshell motifs and borders, the interior with fitted lift-out tray and inset brass lock inscribed 'BRAMAH 124 PICCADILLY', with original key, 13.5cm high, 41.5cm wide, 31cm deep The lock manufacturer Bramah which had been at 124 Piccadilly since 1784, changed its name to J.
