Large 19th century German silver (.800) centerpiece with flower frog. Centerpiece features a heavily embossed and pierced body decorated with florals and birds. Silver insert has a gold washed interior and loop handles for removing. Both sides of the centerpiece have an unused monogram reservoir. Stamped on base "Germany" with German export mark and "800". Insert/liner is not marked but tests positive for silver. Condition: plating worn off flower frog, a few minor dings/dents to rims of centerpiece and insert as expected with age, see images. Centerpiece measures a total of 20.5" wide x 13" deep x 6.5" tall to top of handles. Measures a total of 7" tall with flower frog in place. Total weight of silver (no flower frog) is 2545 grams or 81.82 troy oz. Total weight: 6.2 lbs.
