A rare and astonishing collectable: Wolverine's (Hugh Jackman) pair of actual hero screen used claws from "X-Men: Days of Future Past" (2014). Wolverine, (aka Logan or James Howlett) is a mutant who is impervious to disease, can heal his own wounds and avoid aging. The claws are part of his skeletal structure which consists of the strongest metal on Earth (at least in the Marvel Comic World), called Admantium. The claws extend from each of Wolverine's forearms through the spaces between his knuckles. They are his supreme weapons, and can cut through anything on Earth. Two version of these claws were used in the production, depending on the requirements for the scene. One pair were crafted of metal and the others of rubber. Both were carefully painted to give them the "Admantium" sheen. These are the hero rubber versions worn by Jackman. Each three blade set (one marked "R" and the other "L"), are attached to the custom made knuckle holds and metal palm base. They are housed in the original production carrying case with special cutout foam rubber lining inside. The case originally housed both these rubber hero claws, and an additional metal pair. So valuable were these hero claws that the case also comes with a set of locking keys (included). The hero claws come directly from "X-Men: Days Of Future Past" producer Lauren Shuler Donner and were given as a donation to Food Forward (www.foodforward.org), a remarkable organization that rescues fresh local produce that would otherwise go to waste, and distributes it to people in need, as well as inspiring others to do the same in their own communities. The profits of the sale of these amazing iconic claws will be going to Food Forward to continue their wonderful work. The blades come with a Letter of Provenience from producer Lauren Shuler Donner. The blades are 9", the production custom claw case is approx 17.5"x13"x6" and includes two locking keys. This item also comes with a Movie Props DNA: This item now includes three levels of security: 1) DNA laced invisible ink – a 9-digit code laced with DNA ink is placed on an appropriate place of the prop/costume and can be only viewed using a high-frequency UV light. The chances of replicating the specific DNA sequence which is unique to MPDNA is 1 in 33 trillion. 2) Archival Microchip Encrypted Tag - a patented, acid-free, 1"x 3" tag with an encrypted microchip is placed onto the Certificate of Authenticity. The microchip contained within the tag contains all of the pertinent information about the prop or costume. The tag is tamper proof and the microchip is encrypted, making it impossible to duplicate.? 3) The certificate also has the 9-digit DNA invisible ink mark which must match the 9-digit invisible ink mark on the prop. This will ensure that it is a genuine prop issued by Premiere Props and authenticated by MPDNA.
