Zeiss Ikon Prototype with Prototype Compur-Rapid, c. 1935
For 4,5 x 6 cm, Zeiss Ikon, strut folding camera, coupled rangefinder (CRF). The extraordinary specialty is the Compur-Rapid shutter with the fastest speed of 1/600 sec. Compur-Rapid had been produced regularly up to 1/500 sec. only! Tests have been done up to a fastest speed of 1/750 sec. The fitting lens for the small shutter diameter was this "Goerz Dagor 6,8/71" (no. 387124). – Provenance: Zeiss Museum Jena! This camera returned from those prototypes which were taken off by the American Army in 1945! – Absolutely unique!

Zeiss Ikon, Scherenspreizenkamera, 4,5 x 6 cm, gekuppelter Entfernungsmesser. Das ganz Besondere hier ist der Verschluß: Compur-Rapid mit der kürzesten Zeit von 1/600 Sek. Der Compur-Rapid war zuvor serienmäßig nur bis 1/500 Sek. ausgeliefert worden. Versuchsmuster gingen bis 1/750 Sek. Das passende Objektiv für den kleinen Durchmesser war wohl nur das "Goerz Dagor 6,8/71" (Nr. 387124). Provenienz: Zeiss Museum Jena. Die Kamera stammt aus dem Bestand der in Jena von den Amerikanern nach 1945 erbeuteten Prototypen. – Absolutes Unikat!
