Description
An Egyptian blue faience button scarab, Late Period, c. 664 - 30 BC, naturalistically rendered with striated wing case and loop on bottom for attachment to the bandages of a mummy. 3.0 x 2.1 cm. Intact with dark deposits within the recesses. Ex Wiltshire, England private collection.
