Lot 0014
From the Estate of Mark Falk. A framed signed letter by composer Stephen Heller (1813-1888). The letter is written in French on a small piece of note paper, embossed with the composers initials. There is writing on the front and interior of the note. It is displayed showing the interior only. Difficult to read but appears to be addressed to composer Felix LeCouppey (it begins "Mon cher amis"). Heller is about to leave for a visit to England, and has been so busy finishing and copying new compositions that he has had not "Un mement libre". He asks LeCouppey to say farewell for him to Mme. LeCouppey and signs the letter "St. Heller." Purchased from J&J Lubrano in 1991. Height: 16", Width: 13"
