Lionel prewar standard gauge Transcontinental Limited two-tone Brown State set no. 411E with individual car OBs, circa 1930-1933. This is the version of the Brown State set with brass journals and no rivet detail on the ends of the cars. The set contains a 408E electric loco with red lettered brass plates, cream inserts and stripe, 412 California Pullman, 413 Colorado Pullman, 414 Illinois Pullman and a 416 New York observation with a Transcontinental Limited drumhead on the end railing. The cars have dark brown roof ventilators, cream window inserts and brass trim. The interiors in all of the cars are original and complete. The Illinois car has one broken coupler. The set is all original and is C6-7. All of the car boxes are correctly stamped BROWN. Most all flaps on one end of the boxes are missing and all flaps are attached on the other ends with brown tape. The Brown State set is one of the most desirable of all standard gauge sets.
