Addition to original description: The paperwork (a period photocopy) is made up of about 6 sheets, and on the last 3 are listed about 50 tiles - this one included (V070-396451-133). That explains it being a photocopy. The main front sheet I presume has a parent number for the removal operation of all these tiles. However, the red tag and red striped tag stapled to the paperwork both bear the number on this particular tile.A 5.5"x 7.5"x 2" slightly curved heat tile flown aboard Challenger on its STS-41G mission in October 1984. It is stamped as SCRAP and is complete with NASA removal paperwork and tags. On the paperwork are the numbers TRP01-9-07-0236 which means this tile was removed after the 6th flight of Challenger, which was STS-41G. Some red RTV is still on the underside that was used to attach it to the shuttle. A couple chips on the edges no doubt from removal, but otherwise great shape. Possibly subject to ITAR rules.
