Binding of full black calf with boards decorated in Grolier style, edges gilt and gauffered (tipped in notes suggesting this binding was done for King Francis I of France, reigned 1515-1547.) Hinges cracked but sound. Bookplate of George Dunn of Wooley Hall to pastedown. First title stained and some lighter marginal water-staining to several leaves at front and back. Else clean, Very Good. This copy last appeared at Sotheby's, Nov. 7, 1932.
