Chinese, late 19th/ early 20th century. A pair of porcelain lidded urns of temple jar form with blue underglaze hand painted decoration on white ground of traditional Double Happiness motif with calligraphic mark on four sides surrounded by intertwining sweet pea vines and lotus blossoms, with bands of meandering key at top of base and on rim of lid, also with double happiness marks on domed lid below saucer form finial. Unmarked. Approximately 16" tall x 10.5" diameter.
