Wheelbase: 45"Pictured here is a Schwinn Whizzer Model H motor bicycle with added sidecar, purchased by Mr. McMullen in the mid-nineties. This popular item was offered from the 1930s till 1966 and was sold at neighborhood hardware, auto parts and bicycle stores across the country. During WWII rations, the Whizzer was one of the few motorized vehicles allowed to be purchased new in the U.S., and even so, required a defense worker's certificate. Introduced in the summer of 1946, the Model H engine was a tremendous step forward mechanically and would remain in production for many years. The 1950 Schwinn Whizzer being offered is in excellent working condition. The fit, finish and overall quality is quite nice, from its red paint, to its bright chrome and whitewall tires, the Whizzer exhibits a recently restored look. The sidecar, finished with Coca-Cola decals, although not an original piece, adds a wonderful element of charm to the bike.
